The Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse New York is a small zoo a limited collection of animals. But it certainly is worth the visit.
They have some animals that I had not seen at other zoos, or at all.
Neon day gecko and lined seahorse.
Their two-toed sloths certainly attract a lot of attention.
As do the newly added meerkats, plus their South African cape porcupine.
They have several varieties of monkeys including patas monkeys and siamang apes
Because of the avian flu making the rounds, the aviary was closed, but there were a few birds behind glass.
Pied crow,  Von der decken's hornbill and a crested coua.
But the one group/flock of birds that caught everyone's attention were the Humboldt penguins from Chile.
Their hoofed animals included Reeve's Muntjac, Armenian mouflon
