While the swans we saw might have  had a few wild ones mixed in, most/all were pinioned so they could not fly.
The vast majority were mute swans.

With some Australian black swans

A few whooper and trumpeter swans

A new one for me - a South American black-necked swan

Initially I thought the grey swan might have been a mix of black swan and one of the white variety.
But someone more familiar with black swans suggests that this is an adolescent black swan. Not sitting on eggs on a nest, just resting.
Most of the white pelicans we saw were at Lake Morton and nearby Lake Mirror in Lakeland.
At Lake Mirror they gathered in large tightly grouped flocks for feeding amongst the plants
One at Lake Morton had a deformed foot and was entangled with some fishing gear
Usually I see pelicans flying low, but they certainly fly higher .
A few brown pelicans were over by Tampa
