Early November, after having had two nights of below zero, a day with an 1" of snow, most of the leaves were off the trees, the plants looking very brown/dead, but sticking out alongside the trail was a Queen Anne's Lace in bloom!


We had had a super abundance of them this year, guess this one was determined to out last the others that were obviously finished


There was also one sow thistle having a last hurrah....

A few milkweed pods were dispersing the last of their seeds
