Pumpkinferno has been presented at Upper Canada Village since 2011. In the last few years Pumpkinferno is also presented in Sudbury and Kingston.
Over the years the display has become more sophisticated with animations, sound and multicolours and multimedia. Each year new displays are added while some of previous years' are moved about.
There are standalone pumpkins and figures carved into half pumpkins mounted on background.
The pumpkins are made of a stiff foam, molded from real pumpkins.
An over-exposure to show the background board and pumpkins.
Lights are mounted inside the pumpkins, the depth of the carving determines the amount of light that shows through.
A wide range of scenes/subjects are displayed.
People, mythical creatures , animals, individual pumpkins etc
