A less photographic visit to the Parc this month as we had new visitors with us.
The elk were starting their rut. Some limited bellowing was heard throughout the day. Most of the elk have lost the velvet off their antlers.
While it wasn't a hot day, a two year-old(?) elk decided to cool off in a pool.
The black wolves were more restless than usual. Likely because someone was out of their car throwing carrots - despite their being stopped in front of signs saying NOT to do that.
As always there were a good number of boars around. They were enjoying a new diet of beets, or a nap in the straw. A few quite small piglets were running about.
One of the silver foxes was showing more silver in their fur than before.
A male fallow deer wasn't looking for carrots, but enjoying a rest.
Some "different" fungus ( Milk-white Toothed Polypore ) growing on a stump
At the picnic tables, the white tailed deer are anything but shy.

Around the small lake at the Land of the First Nation are a series of totem poles representing the various first Nations people.
This one is for the Cree
And this snowy owl carved into the rocks represents the Inuit of northern Quebec.
We took a few minutes to look more closely at the Enchanted Cabin, and other carvings adjacent to it.
