It was a very hot day, low humidity, but still 30°C. The animals were feeling it.
The moose, still shedding his winter coat, was laying in the shade, but dealing with flies as well. The bison had no shade to hide, some still had part of their winter coats on.
Some of the bears and elk took to the water.
Other elk laid in the shade, dealing with bothersome flies.
One fallow deer played peek-a-boo with us at lunch, while others moved/squeezed into the boars' "condo".
New bear cubs had been born. Triplets for one cinnamon bear and a single cub for a black bear. The cinnamon bear kept her offspring up a tall tree for security.
