It was a beautiful day to visit the Parc, record high temperature of 9°C and bright sunshine
(Which challenged the photographer at times)
We arrived at opening hour with the elk having reported for duty at the gate to collect the tolls (carrots) from visitors
A few stragglers were sidetracked by something interesting on the trail. The snow buntings were also finding something to eat on the trail
A good number of the deer and elk still have their antlers
The deer and elk have paths through the hillsides.
Some of the buffalo/bison were off from the herd getting a drink from a snow melt runoff and created a mini stampede
The birds and squirrels were taking advantage of the feeder platforms
The wild turkeys were very plentiful, but they were having some issues walking in the snow with its melting ice crust
The wild pigs/boars were throughout the Parc. At some of the hay stations there can be minor skirmishes

The moose were relaxing chewing their cud at the edge of some trees
A lone white-tailed deer, at the side of a walking trail,  was hoping for a carrot or two
The Rocky Mountain Goats were enjoying the warm sunshine and temperatures

The timber/grey wolves were just waking up, in the bright sun, for their noon hour snacks
The anatomy of a yawn...
Snack time
To receive their snacks, the wolves sit on a hill. The hill was icy which is why you'll see them sliding a bit in the video
One of the arctic foxes looks particularly cuddly
The arctic wolves, in their drive-through enclosure, provided some great views
It's interesting how the four paws seem to line up in a row when walking
The warm temperatures brought a black bear out of hibernation
The Parc offers sled dog rides over a one kilometre trail
