Looked out on the porch one morning after a fresh fall of snow and spotted tracks.
On closer inspection I am 99% sure it was a coyote with a night time snack.
I tracked it as best I could but too many cars had been by. It came from up the street, and perhaps scared by a car turning onto the street, turned into our joint driveway, did a hard right and up onto our porch, and then off the porch and continued back on to the street.
There is a pathway system that connects to out street. Along the pathway is another street that leads to some woods about 500 metres away. I assume that was where it came from.
