While many people were out for the influx of migrating warblers, I kept to the more co-operative birds such as phoebes and nuthatches
Some of the cardinals still need a touch up from their molt. One was missing a few crown feathers and another was well behind with face and crown feathers not in yet.
Some flickers were in some trees across a bay from the trail. I managed to catch them in flight, showing off their yellow wing feathers
A good number of wood ducks were about including one relatively young family,  the males still have a long way to go to recover their fine colourful suit of feathers
An adult male with the bright red eye on the left, and a juvenile male on the right with its eye just starting to show some red
Two green herons made a fast fly by, I managed to get a record shot of one in the distance
Great blue herons and an egret were hoping for a mid-morning snack
A number of flowers were blooming (Scroll over for ID)

A snapping turtle was prowling the shallows by the observation deck
A few mushrooms and fungus were asking to have their photos taken
Thimbleweed seems to grow in one particular spot by the bridge
