Each year the Botanical Gardens in Montreal become lit up with lights in the evening. Many years ago it was just the Chinese Garden area filled with Chinese lanterns.
The past few years have seen the Japanese and First Nation Gardens lit as well.
There were fewer Chinese lanterns than in the past, but it was still a wonderful area to walk through.
As in past years, cranes were in plentiful supply.
The light breeze added ripples to the water which made for interesting reflections.
In lieu of more lanterns, there was a six minute sound and light show. Part of the show was projecting animals on a water spray. We had seen this technique in Lima, Peru a number of years ago.
The sound and light show is the last six plus minutes of the following video.
