For many years the Montreal Botanical Gardens have had a night display in the fall. From initially being just Chinese lanterns it has expanded to include floodlit Japanese Gardens and First Nations forest lighting and stories.
The Japanese gardens and First Nations area has had the same displays for a few years now, the Chinese lanterns change, to some extent, each year. Unfortunately this year's lantern display was disappointing.

The Chinese lanterns are of course designed for night display, but it is interesting to see them during the day as well.
The night display is what people come to see. There were fewer displays outside of the main pond this year. The display in the pond itself was very jumbled making it difficult to delineate individual lanterns.
The waterfall is nicely lit
They weren't Peking ducks😊, but a number of ducks were getting a close look at the display.
